International Migrants Day
Every day migrant workers come to China’s cities seeking a better life for their children, yet these children (25 million in China) often live in poverty, lack access to quality education and healthcare and experience low self esteem. The annual International Migrants Day offers a rallying point for everyone across the world who is concerned for migrants. It is an opportunity to recognize the contributions made by millions of migrants to the well-being and economies of their countries. Compassion for Migrant Children and the Migrant Resource Network invite you to celebrate migrants in Beijing and Shanghai this year on December 18.
